We Can Help

Wings of Hope is a prison ministry to women released from jail or prison. They come to complete sentencing, or as an alternative sentencing program. The ladies come from every division of the Criminal Justice System.

The women participate in the residency program, which is approximately 10 months. While living at Wings of Hope they attend Christ-Centered Life Recovery Classes. 12-Step and other Life Recovery classes and groups are required. We deal with all levels and categories of abuse that the women have experienced in their lives,  and/or have caused.  Medical, ...

We Recommend the Life Recovery Bible for new believers and for those rebuilding broken lives.

dental, educational, emotional and spiritual issues are addressed.

We work also to restore families. Children come for the weekend, and they attend church with their mothers on Sunday. (Many of the children have been in foster care.) 100% of the children have been returned to their mothers upon the mother's completion of the residency program.

Friday evening is the only free time the ladies have during their stay. Free time is usually spent visiting with family, watching movies, baking or just relaxing.

Many of the women are sentenced through Reentry Court, Drug Court, Probation or Parole. Most have requirements in those programs in addition to this one. Also, they are required to work. Restitution can be very high, and though there is no charge for them to come to Wings of Hope Prison Ministry, the women are encouraged to contribute something towards their living expenses as they are able.

We become a family, and the women become support to each other as they begin their newly changed lives. We laugh, cry and learn together; we share chores, cooking, cleaning; and we have a home...a home the Lord provides. The ladies come with high hopes in the Lord and...the Lord's people.

Gal.6:2
- "Carry one another's burdens, and therefore fulfill the law of Christ."
