Rocks to Roses

Sometimes the world can seem so cruel
And people so very unkind
Sometimes our masks aren't thick enough
for us to hide behind

So we take our rocks and build a wall
to shield us from the pain
Sometimes the rocks can weigh us down
and tears fall down like rain

But a tear can be the water needed
to make the seed a flower

there is no limit to what can be
when Jesus is the power

Throw off the weight that holds you down
and talk with God above
Ask Him for forgiveness
and to replace your rocks with love

For when Jesus is the gardener
a rock becomes a rose
